THE CAMERON CUP. RETAINED BY CAMBRIDGE. (Special to Times.) CAMBRIDGE, Sunday. The Matatnata polo team challenged the Cambridge holders of the Cameron Cup on Saturday and an interesting game resulted in a draw, three goals all, Cambridge thus retaining the trophy. For the holders goals we're scored by 11. Peake, L. Kay and K. Peake and for Matamata by J. Elliott, E. Johnston and N. Johnston. The teams were:— Cambridge: R. Peake, L. Kay, K. Peake, N.. Garland. Matamata: J. Elliot, E. Johnston, N. Johnston, C. Morgan. LADIES’ CUP GAME. WAIHOU B BEATS MORRINSVILLE. (Special to Times.) MORRINSVILLE, Monday. Morrlnsville’s team of young- players—nil under 2 I —who performed so well at Claudelands a week ag-o, went down by s goals to 5 io a more experienced team' in Wailiou B in a match for the Ladies’ Cup played on the Morrinsville Polo Ground on Saturday. Wnihou had to give Morrinsville a start of 3 goals. Scorers for Walhou were F. Klaus (3), 11. Wight (3), and M. Shnllue (2). For Morrinsville goals were scored by J. Klaus and K. Douglas. After the match the visitors were entertained at afternoon tea by the Morrins- ' illc ladies, and the Ladies’ Cup was handed The revival or the Waihou Polo Club this year and the formation of a team of young players from the Morrinsville club's members lias been a great stimulus to polo in the Morrinsville and Te Aroha districts.
