RECORD SHIPPING.
HIGHEST MONTHLY TOTAL. PROSPERITY IN BRITAIN. (Official Wireless.) RUGBY, Sept. 5. Striking evidence of Britain’s restored prosperity is afforded in tiie announcement that the tonnage of shipping which entered Southampton Docks during August was the highest monthly total ever recorded in Ihe history of the port. So far this year more shipping has been accommodated at Southampton than in the corresponding period ot' any previous year. The aggregate of 2.238.300 gross tons for August is 100,000 tons above the standing record monthly total.
