The note issue. which has been in—creasing moderately for some time, shows a fall of £50,311. Government deposits have fallen £80,331, com—pared with the level a week before, while the holdings of the trading banks are £195,106 higher. Other demand .liahiiities have fallen £60.056. ! Variations on the assets side are | very minor In character.
