OHAUPO NEWS.

GOLF CLUB DANCE. There was a large attendance at the dance organised by the Ohaupo Golf | Club, and held in the Ohaupo Memorial I llall recently, visitors being present from Hamilton, Te Awamutu and Cain- | bridge. Excellent music was played by Phil j Swift and his Marama Dance Band and I a novelty dance was won by Mrs G. Bainbridge and Mr A. Bell. Messrs. R. Field, H. Ford and G. Hogan were M’s.C. I The weekly meeting of the Bridge Club was held in the Social Hall on July 7, when the winner for the evening was Mr L. Turnwald. On Thursday evening the Paterangi Bridge Club travelled to Ohaupo to play for the bridge trophy. The home team were successful, winning by 750. The highest scores for the evening were also held by members of the Ohaupo team, Mrs H. Dingle (ladies) and Mr J. Snodgrass (men). At the weekly meeting of the Bridge Club on July U, Mr L. Turnwald was again successful in holding the highest score for the evening.
