An enjoyable gift evening given for Miss Rose Kelm on the occasion of her approaching marriage was held in the Orange Hall, Ngaruawahia, on Wednesday. There was a large attendance and the evening was spent in dancing. The accompanists were Mrs Empson, Miss M. Menzies and Miss M. MoGruer. On behalf of those present Mr D. McCorquindale asked Miss Kelm and Mr Gee to accept the many useful gifts. Mr Gee suitably replied. Among those present were: Mesdames A. Paterson, wearing black crepe de chene; H. 11.
