For 2s a resident of Birkenhead bought four shells of the German "whizbang" type desiring to have ttie brass casings. He took them home from the city by ferry boat, and bus. Next day some children played with them and later an owner proceeded with the aid of a cold chisel to ascertain if they were alive. The result. being of a positive nature 'he promptly handed them over to the police.
