SHIPPING DISPUTE.

STEAMER DELAYED. AUCKLAND, Thursday. The Wiaotopu which was to have left for southern ports and Australia last night was delayed because of trouble with the crew. Some of the men resented the presence of a member of the crew who had been on the boat for four months and against whom the officers had no complaint. The crew refused to take the steamer to sea whilst the man was on board, but the officers refused to dismiss him. The man solved the problem by volunteering to be paid off and it is expected the boat will leave for the south this morning.
