FORGERY IN SYDNEY.

Police headquarters in Sydney ha\« obtained possession of several forged New Zealand Reserve Bank notes, the denominations of which have been changed from 10s and £1 to £lO by the use of acids and manipulation of the fTgures. Bank experts had the -greatest diflloulty In detecing the forgeries, but the fact that the New Zealand Reserve Bank does not issue £lO notes left no doubt. The person who tampered with the notes has made an excellent profit. The’ police have warned trades people in all the Ftates.
