A farewell was accorded the goodwill mission to-day by a large assembly at Mulinuu, the seat of the native Government and the burial place of Samoan Kings. The ceremony was arranged by representatives of the Malo. The Mato is a section of the community which down the years has remained loyal to the Government and kept aloof from all Mau activities. The speakers complimented the delegates from New Zealand on their efforts to restore hurmony among all people in Samoa, and expressed the hope that their labours would not be in vain. 'Members of the party and their wives were presented with beauti-fully-made mats and other articles, and later were entertained at a feast. Natives from all parts of the territory are pouring into Apia to welcome Mr O. F. Nelson, who will arrive by the Maui Pomare to-morrow afternoon. At Vaimoso, the Mau headquarters, elaborate preparations are being made for the reception of the exiled leader. Hundreds of pigs are being killed for ;* big feast.
