Federal Ministers now believe that (lie three main industries affected by the Privy Council’s marketing decision —namely, dried fruits, butter and wheat—are temporarily in a sale position. Butter is safe because of the steps ; taken by the industry itself. Wheal is 1 safe owing to the present high price. Dried fruits at present are not affected because the problem of the sale of tiie current season’s crops is already solvedThe Ministry intends to convene a conference of State Premiers, probably in August, to discuss further measures. It is expected that the Federal Attorney-General, Mr R. G- Menzies, will be back then from England.
