Father Joseph Herring (53) collapsed and died while taking part in a Corpus Christi procession at Manly. He was educated at St. Patrick's College. Wellington, and ordained by the late Archbishop Redwood in 1909. He did parish work at \Vellinston. Reetton and W‘hangarel.
