FOUR PLAYERS IN HOOPITAI— N 0 SERIOUS CASES. ___. There were several accidents in football matches throughout the district on Saturday. four injured players being admitted to the \\'alkalo Hospital. Severe neck injuries were received by Rex Gear, aged 20. of Leamlngton. when playing for Leamington against Hautapu. George Hutchinson Welsh, aged 20. of Ngaruawahia, received a severe blow to the head and suffered concussion in a senior football match on Saturday. After receiving attention from Dr. D. Martin. the injured player was removed to hospital where his condition is regarded as not serious. A fractured leg was received by Hugh Eastwood. aged 22. of Manawaru, in a football match at Te Arena on Saturday. He is reported to be making satisfactory progress. Injury to the knee in a football match at VVhaiawhata necessitated the removal to the Waikatn Hospital of Joseph Bishop. aged 2i. of \Vhatnwhata. llis condition is not serious. Through colliding with another player in a junior match at \Vhliikahu on Saturday. C. Broadley. a liuntly ‘player. received a severe scalp wound lwhich necessitated the insertion of several stitches. l __..__ .
