THE TE RAPA TRACK.
GOING WILL BE HOLDING. TO-DAY’S PROGRAMME. FOG MARS WORK. Fog at Te Rapa this morning prevented the timing of the few horses sent against the clock. The flags were well out from the rails and the going as the result of recent rain was heavy. With fine weather to day the track will dry out somewhat but the going tomorrow will be on the holding side in any case. The Hawera trainer, J. Fryer, lias arrived with Ned Cuttle, Wotan and Soloist. The only trial of note was that between Grateful (Savage) and Red Sand (Long), the former finishing a couple of lengths clear of his companion at the completion of half-a-niile in 555. Grateful, who is a line upstanding chestnut by Raceful from Emberalto, is looking well and lias been racing consistently of late.
