PORT WAIKATO CAMP.
SALVATION ARMY OHILDREN. Appreciation of the co-operation of the Waikato Children’s Camp League in making possible a holiday at Port Waikato for the children of “The Nest,” the Hamilton Salvation Army Children’s Home, is expressed by Matron M. L. Hoare in a letter to Mr W. j H. Paul, chairman of the League. j “The long awaited camp for our j children is now an event of the past j and they are all safely back at the j home, stronger and 'better fitted in j every way for the winter that lies j ahead, than they would have been had i it not been for the stay at Port Wai- j kato,’’ writes Matron Hoare. “Will you allow me on behalf of Commissioner Adams, the staff and the children. also myself to thank you for all the kindness, interest and generosity that you have shown towards us; we do appreciate it much as it is such an action that lightens the burden and anxiety of our work and cheers us “With regard to the camp itself, of its wonderful situation, splendid equipment and general layout I cannot speak too highly. It 'surpasses anything I have ever seen. I trust that In days to come it will reach an even higher state of efficiency-”
