HAUPTMANN TO DIE.
EXECUTION ON MARCH 30. MURDER OF LINDBERGH BABY. MONTHS OF REPRIEVE ENDED. (Received Feb. 20, 3.15 p.m.) TRENTON, Feb. 19. Adolf Hauptmann was again sentenced The months of his reprieve ended, to die in the electric chair on March 30 for the murder of the infant son of Colonel and Mrs Lindbergh. Governor Hoffman indicated that he would grant no further reprieves .unless new evidence was produced. Considerable interest was aroused last week when Mr Samuel Leibowitz. a noted criminal lawyer who defended the Scottsboro negroes, was engaged for Hauptmann's defence. Mr Leihowitz declared that lie would*not undertake to help the prisoner unless lie told him “ the whole truth.” Later the lawyer admitted that Hauptmann would in no way change his story.
