NATIONAL MUTUAL OFFICE. RECORD -NEW BUSINESS YEAR. New business written by the National Mutual Life Association for the year ended September 30, 1936, amounted to £lO,1 37,325. This Is £1,017,710 In excess of that written ror the previous year and constitutes a record for the Association. The total Income was £5,0 i5, 206, which included £3,106,869 for premiums and £1,611,126 (arter‘deduction of rates and taxes amounting- to £142,315) for Interest. Tho total amount paid to policyholders or their representatives during the year was £2,92 1,34 9. Tho total assurances in force at die end of tho year amounted to £93,752,C53. As tho result of the year’s transactions tho sum or £1,619.25S was added to the assurance fund, which amounted to £39,101,123 at the close or the year. The Investment reservo fund was also added to and now amounts to £1,115,161. Bonus certificates showing reversionary bonuses allotted to policies for the year current at September 30, 1935, will be Issued In March, 1936.
