COUNCILLORS AND POLITICS
(To the Editor.) Sir, —Mr Bisley made some very trenchant remarks at the council meeting on Wednesday last. He asserted “to support a party whose policy we do not yet know,” and that partx go into power on promises it cannot fulfil.” This clearly shows that mi Bisley never considered that party s programme during the campaign, and how does he conclude that pledges cannot be fulfilled? These statements are contradlctoi}, and I suggest the councillor gives us enlightenment upon the subject, l am ’ etC " ROSS TREVOR. Hamilton, December 20.
