WINNER OF £2OOO. YOUNG MAN’S LUCK. WHAKATANE, Friday. The winner of the “My Good Fortune” Art Union was Mr Stanley Wright, aged 24. He is single and Is employed in the Farmers’ Trading Company store at Whakatane. He came to Whakatane from Hastings 14 years ago with his parents, who are farming in the district. He was educated at the Whakatane High School and worked some years with the Price Merchandise Company. He is interested in athletics and is a member of the rowing club and the life-saving club. When asked what he would do with the money Mr Wright replied: “I will place it in the bank in the meantime- I have already been Interviewed by three salesmen who have tried to sell me a motor-car, but I warded them all off.”
