BUILDING SOCIETY.

HAMILTON STARR-BOWKETT. NEW RULES ADOPTED. APPROPRIATION OF £IOOO. Proposed new rules relating to tho formalion of special groups, enabling the society to make appropriations of £750, repayable over a term of 15 years, were discussed at a meeting of members of the Hamilton StarrBowkett Building Society in St. Peter’s Mall last evening. There was a fair attendance, Mr A. J. Denz, chairman of directors, presiding. The new rules \yere fully discussed and were adopted unanimously. These rules will provide for the formation of new grbups, additional to the existing group, which is fully subscribed. The chairman explained that when the necessary formalities were completed, the directors proposed to take immediate steps to commence at least one group under the new rules.

An appropi'iation by ballot for a £IOOO free of interest loan was also held, the winning cluster being No. 47. Mrs C. G. Bundle was the holder of three shares and became entitled to £6OO. The holder of the remaining two shares In the cluster had withdrawn from the society and was therefore not eligible to take up the balance of the loan, amounting to £4OO.
