DEMANDS BY FILM STARS. SIGNS OF PROSPERITY. (From a Correspondent.) NEW YORK, Sept. 25. .Signs of returning prosperity to Hollywood may be read in the growing restlessness among film starsSome want more money, others want different jobs. James Dunn, the young Irish-Anierl-can who first achieved fame in “ Bad Girl,” says he is only happy when playing opposite Shirley Temple. “ No Garbos, Dietrichs, or Harlows for me," he adds, “ but just the famous little star." Air. Dunn had a five-years-contract with the Twentieth Century-Fox organisation, of which two more years had to run. He has come to an amicable agreement with the company by which, failing to secure Shirley Temple as his leading lady, liis contract is cancelled. Taking courage from Mr Dunn's suecessful rebellion, oilier stars are also restive. gylvia Sidney is reported lo have risked for £BOO a week, an increase of £3OO on her salary. She says she would he satisfied “to split I lie difference."
