STOCK EMBARGO.

(To the Editor.) Sir, —The question of raising the embargo on the importation of. stud stock from Great Britain has shown a wide gulf between the experts of the Department of Agriciulture and the farmers. A committee of the House of Representatives was strongly in favour of lifting the embargo and were backed up by the departmental experts. The Minister, however, referred the matter to the farmers’ organisations, and the answers were not unanimous by any means. As a result the Government said that there would be no change in the policy for the present, so that the matter has been left for the Labour Government to deal with. —I am, etc., BORDERER. Morrlnsvilie, December l'J.
