WORK APPRECIATED.
TRIBUTE TO MR PAUL. EFFORTS IN BEAUTIFYING. The strict routine of a formal meeting was departed from at the last meeting for the year of the Hamilton Beautifying Society last evening. Tho meeting was held at the residence of the president, Mr W. 11. Paul, who entertained the members of the society to supper at the conclusion of the evening’s business. Mr. 11. Douglas, in moving a motion of appreciation of the work done by Mr Paul for Hie society and for his hospitality during the evening, stated Unit they all knew and appreciated the manner in which their president was shouldering the considerable activities of the society. The motion was carried with enthusiasm. In expressing his thanks, Mr Paul wished members Hie compliments of the season and thanked them fur their co-operation shown during tho year.
