NO JEWISH BLOOD. GERMAN WIFE’S QUEST. LONDON, November 26. The Scottish-born wife of a German officer has appealed to the Aberdeen Presbytery to help her to trace her ancestors, so that she can prove to te German authorities that she has no Jewish blood in her veins, says the Aberdeen correspondent of the Dally |
Telegraph. In her appeal the woman writes:—
“1 came to Germany at the age of two. My father went to the war and never came back, leaving my mother poor and ill, and she gave me away. I was educated In Germany and married a German offloer. It Is a matter of life and death to my children."
The Presbytery has asked all ministers to search their records for the baptism of the woman’s mother, Ann Massie, daughter of Alexander Massle and Mary, his wife. The child was born in 1852, probably in Aberdeen or Dyoe.
