HELP FOR CHILDREN’S CAMP. In response to an appeal made by tbs president of tbs Kalpaikl Women’s Institute (Mrs A. Goodwin) Tor gifts or eggs for the Waikato children’s camp, the members and other loc&l ladles have given * large quantity amounting to over -10 dozen. On Tuesday last these were handed to Mrs 11. C. Ross, of Hamilton, who gratefully accepted them. Harvesting Operations. With the continued spell of tine weather the farmers are very busy getting in their ensilage and hay. Many fine stacks are already to be seen, mostly of ensilage, hut ■the work of getting up the hay Is following on closely and the (hum of the mowing machine Is heard In all directions. „ Swimming Pool. The swimming pool Is being well patronised and many of the young folk snatch an odd opportunity Tor a “dip." On Wednesday afternoon the school children, under the care of their teachers, enjoyed a happy hour there. Proflolenoy Results. The following scholars of the Kaipakl School were successful In gaining their proficiency certificates: —Valerie McEldowney, Roy Cunningham and Trevor McCarthy. Sunday Sohool. The scholars or the Sunday School are busy preparing for their annual prizegiving and break-up night, which will be held on Wednesday. “
