BALE AT MORRINSVILL.E. EASING TENDENCY SHOWN. (By Tele* rnnti.--Special Reporter,) AIORRINSVILLE, Friday. Activity at the weekly stock sale at Morrinsville to-day was below normal, the yardings being lighter in all seottons with a smaller bench of buyers. Rates current at last sale were generally maintained. An average supply of ox beef showed a slight, easing tendency, although the quality was superior lo that of last week. Cow and heifer beef drew heller competition and on extra primo sorts values were well up on Franklon and WeslCeid rates. Prices per head ranged to £8 9s and to 29s per .1001 b. Secondary sorts and boners were steady at late rates. Sheep were offered in the smallest numbers for some weeks and the supply was not sufficient lo reduce keen competition. Ewes were easier while a limited entry of wethers and hoggets realised late quotations. Quality throughout this section was not very attractive. Pigs were marketed in good numbers, although the yarding was shorler than the large entry of last Friday. Porkers, with Die improvement in the export schedule, met a sharper market, although baconers at Dio beginning of the sale were inclined to ease. Quotations: — Prime steers realised £ll Ms to £.1.1 JSs; light, £8 Js; extra prime cows and heifers }C 19s lo £8 9s; lighter, £0 .'is lo £0 7s; fat Jersey cows, £9 J7s lo £’i Ills; just killahle, £2 Os io £9 10s. Fat wethers made 225; woolly hoggets, 20s; fat ewes, 12s 9d to 19s. Medium baconers realised 91s to 9 is; light baconers and heavy porkers, its io 90s; medium porkers, 98s to *l9s; light, 92s to 98s.
