Sir Henry Page Croft, who was chairman of the Organisation Commitlee of the Tariff Reform League, 191317, presiding at a luncheon of the Empire Industries Association, which represents the high tariff section of the Conservatives, with 275 members of the House of Commons among its members, said—- “ When the Argentine agreement expires we must have tariff protection for Home and Empire meat.”
