PAYMENT OF RATES
POSITION AT THAMES. OVERTAKING ARREARS. THAMES, Thursday. At the meeting of the Thames Borough Advisory Committee last night it was reported that for the eight months ended November current rates and arrears collected totalled £ 12,1 Gi, compared with £13,001 for the corresponding period last year, since when the amount of rates outstanding has progressively fallen. Thames has n population of approximately .0000, and Hie residents have responded well to the system introduced by the Borough Commissioner, Mr Gunye, with the object of stabilisation of the local municipal finances.
