BIRTHDAY PARTY.

COMING-OF-AGE. A very jolly party was held on Monday evening at the home of Mr and Mrs L. Flyger at Rukuhia, to celebrate the coming of age of their son James. About 80 guests were present and Ihe evening was spent in dancing, games and community singing. Songs rendered by, Mrs Perry Taylor and Mr Murphy were much appreciated. A delicious supper was served and the guest of honour called upon to cut the cake, after which he was presented with “the key of the door” by his father. . Birthday greetings were also extended to Mr Arthur-Goldfinch, whose 21st birthday also fell on the same date, and to Mrs R. W. McHarrie, whose birthday fell on December 10. The opportunity was also taken to congratulate Mrs Flyger, snr., whose GOth wedding anniversary will take place on December 15.

The hostess received her guests wearing a frock of black Agured marocain.
