THE AUCKLAND MARKET. WEEK OPENS QUIETLY. (By Telegraph.—Special to Times.) AUCKLAND. Monday. The Slock Exchange commenced the week quietly and only live sales were recorded al the firs! call 10-day. The banking section was definitely easier with many blanks on the buyers’ side of quolalions. Insurances were in belter demand and New /tealands changed bands at 07s and more were available al that figure, buyers dropping back to OGs Od. Buyers came in for ijueenslatids at oßs Od and al Vlas for South British. In Australian issues Colonial Sugars were, easier. Sellers dropped their reserves lo Cii iOs without atIracting a eounler offer. Fiji nAning shares were again in request, but buyers’ ideas of \alues bad apparently been revised. Nnsivis, which changed hands ten days ago at i’2S were on offer at i’2o with no buyers coming forward. Rocorded Sales. The following sales were recorded: New Zealand Insurance, IN! 7s. Dominion Breweries, lSs. Wilson’s Cement, 12s Od. Ml. Kasi (.’is paid), 22s fid. Mortgage Corporal ion, Os Id, Os fid. Consolidated Brick, 11s id.
