TRAFFIC OFFENCES.
MOTORISTS IN COURT. SEVERAL FINES IMPOSED. Several breaches of the by-laws were responsible for the appearance of motorists in the Magistrate’s Court, Hamilton, this morning, before Messrs G. Hyde and W. H. Paul, J’s.K For driving a motor lorry without a tail light Francis Robert Walsh was fined 10s and costs while Jack Coburn was fined a similar amount with costs for not renewing his driving licence. Doris May Osmers had to pay 5s and costs on each charge of having insufficient head lights and no tail light. Senior Sergeant G. 11. Lambert remarked that there were 100 many vehicles in Hamilton without sufficient headlights. For riding a bicycle without a light Anne Caskey was convicted and ordered to pay costs.
