STUDIO DANCE.
SUCCESSFUL EVENING. Another bright and successful Studio dance was held 'by the Margaret O'Connor School of Dancing in the State Wintergarden on Saturday evening. There was a good attendance and a happy evening was spent. The Tables looked most attractive with vases of jasmine and daffodils and a delicious supper was served. Excellent, music was played by Dave Shaw’s Orchestra and during the evening novelty dances were greatly appreciated. An interesting feature was a dancing competition, judged by popular vote, and won by Miss R. Murray and Mr R. Michell. The guests were received by Miss Mere-nret O’Connor wearing a frock of daffodil and orange chiffon. Among those present were:—Mesdnmes L. Powell, blush rose beaded georgette. Cecille Gaze, dawn pink crepe suede: Betty Clark, green (lowered cotelle; (Dorothy Cline, blush pink floral crepe; Ada Bliss apple green checked taffeta, Pnjl Hewlett. hlark velvet and *gold g’iidle, .Tenn Malcolm, black cire satin; Beryl Rotten, old rose crepe faille; Ngaire Lancaster, cardinal red tree bar/, crepo and black coatee: Barbara 'Chilly 'bottle green moire taffeta; Hazel Montgomery, black and silver lame tunic. Kntli Snell, deep green eire crepe and silver girdle: Irene Me Garry, lavender patterned chiffon: Trix Bowen, cherry and black larc -tunic froqk: J. Collins, pin’-- crepe faille; E. Rrycc (Matamata). wineberry tulip taffeta, X. Ranker (Matamata), blue spotted cotelle and silver- lame.
