GORDONTON FUNCTION

GOLF CLUB BALL. A SUCCESSFUL EVENING. Transformed with streamers of orange and green and multi-coloured balloons, the Gordonton Hall looked very gay on the occasion of the first Golf Club ball, held on Thursday evening. There was a large attendance, Including visitors from all parts of the Waikato, and a very happy time was spent. In the supper room, under orangeshaded lights, the tables looked beautiful, arranged with bowls of orange Iceland poppies and daffodils. A delicious savoury supper was served. The 'Mayfair lOrchestra played excellent music, and extras were played by Mrs A. G. Bell and Mr W. Pompey. A Monte Carlo was won by Miss K. Murtagh and Mr R. Moore. • Mr and Mrs C.
