STOCK SALE. AT TE AWAMUTU. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, Hamilton, report on their tri-weekly Te Awamulu stock sale, held on Thursday, as follows: Fat and store cattle: The advanced rates ruling at Frankton this week for ox and cow beef were fully equalled, notwithstanding that supplies were heavy. Good quality cows formed a large proportion of the yarding of fats, -whilst again Lhe store and boner pens were fdled. These latter also met with a steady demand. The advertised yearling heifers created keen enquiry and sold very well. We quote:' Good qualify fat bullocks, £8 5s to £8 17s Gd; lighter do., £G 9s to £7 15s; one extra prime fat cow, £10; heavy fat prime cows, £7 15s to £8 10s; good quality cows, £5 15s to £G 12s Gd; medium cows and heifers, £4 10s io £5 10s; lighter do., £3 7s Gd to £'4 2s Gd; killable quality cows, £2 7s Gd to £3; fresh conditioned, £1 13s to £2 ss; (boners to £1 10s; 27 choice yearling heifers, average, £2 13s Gd; best sold at £3. Dairy cattle: Buyers were plentiful for good qualify heifers, which formed a large part of a heavy entry. The same competition was not forthcoming for plainer cows and heifers, tout these made very satisfactory prices in comparison with recent rates. We quote: Best quality dairy heifers close to profit, £5 13s to £7; good cows and heifers—August calvers, £4 10s to £5 10s; plainer class dairies, £3 os to £4 ss; inferior and late, £2 10s to £3. Sheep; A fair-sized entry consisted mostly of fat hoggets. All classes met with a firm market, there not toeing any noticeable change in prices recorded. Wo quote: Good l'at wethers, £1 4s to £1 7s Gd; medium, £1 2s to £1 4s; medium fat ewes, 17s lo 19s 6d; light fat ewes up to 10s; heavy fat hoggets, £1 2s lo £1 4s 9d; medium, 18s to £1 Is Gd; light, ISs lo 19s; forward conditioned, 13s Gd lo lGs Gd; breeding ewes, £1 4s Gd to £1 5s 9d. Pigs: There was a shortage of porkers and haconers although large quantities of stores and. weaners were handled. Fat pigs maintained Frankton rates, whilst lor stores and weaners, though the demand was strong the standard of values was slightly lower, hut perhaps slightly better than at Frankton this week. We quote: Medium haconers, £2 16s; light haconers and heavy porkers, £1 15s to £2 ss;: porkers, 10s to £1 14s; best store pigs, £1 9s lo £1 14s; large store pigs, £1 5s to £1 9s; medium do., £1 2s to £1 ss; slips, IGs to 18s; weaners up to 14s.

OHINEWAI DAIRY SALE. The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Limited, report having held their dairy sale at Ohinewai yesterday, when only a small yarding was penned. Helfors of quality sold well, whilst inferior sorts were not wanted. We quote:—Medium quality Jersey and Jersey cross heifers, £3 17s 6d to £4 10s; Jersey and Jersey cross heifers, later calvers, £2 to £2 15s; sound dairy cows, £3 to £3 10s; more backward, £2 to £2 10s.

PIRONGIA STOCK SALE. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Lifnited, Hamilton, report on their Pirongia stock sale, held on Wednesday, as follows: A large entry of cattle contained only a scattering of beef quality animals, most being stores and boners. A complete clearance resulted at late rates. Dairy cows and heifers due early were sought after, others selling under the usual competition. We quote: Heavy fat cows, £5 15s to £7 4s; medium quality cows, £4 5s to £5 10s; lighter do., £3 10s to £4 2s Gd; light, £2 10s to £'3 os; fresh conditioned cows, £1 os lo £2 7s Gd; boners, 19s to £1 8s; medium dairy cows and heifers, £3 ios to £5; others, £2 10s lo £3 10s.
