THE AUCKLAND MARKET. BUSINESS GENERALLY BRISK. (By Telegraph.—Special to Times.) AUCIvLAND, Thursday. Steady business with a good allround demand lias been noted on 'Change over the past 24 hours. in the banking section the most noticeable change has been the-sud-den recovery in New Zealand*, which sold dearer at 51 s 8d lale yesterday afternoon. At this morning’s call New Zealand Insurances were again in request at 66s 6d, sellers asking Od more. South British had a transfer at the last sale price of 96s 6d, after which more were available at that figure and buyers dropped out. Dominion Breweries confirmed their recent rise with fresh business at 17s od. Interest in Fiji gold mine shares continues and there were enquiries for all lines that were called, listed and unlisted. Auckland Gas were again dull, sellers asking 265, while buyers offered Oil lower.

King Solomons continued to drag. After a sale at 3s 3d the market lay between 3s Id and 3s Od. Claude Neons (Sydney) moved up another Is 3d, with business at 55s 3d. after which holders asked 5s Od and buyers retired. The New Zealand .scrip was in demand at 435, with no sellers.
