TRAGIC DEATH.
SUICIDE OF YOUTH. FEARED TO APPEAR IN COURT. STORY TOLD AT INQUEST. (By Telegraph.—press Association.) RAWER,\, Thursday. A tragic story of a youth of 18 who took his life rather than appear In Court to answer a charge of being found on licensed premises after hours was revealed at Kaponga this morning at an Inquest concerning the death of Kenneth Victor Harding.
He was found in a wliarc on Sunday night with .severe head wounds, and a shot-gun clasped between his knees. A summons to appear in Court to answer the charge was served on Saturday. The coroner’s verdict was that death was due to suicide while the youth was mentally depressed owing to a pending Court case.
