NEW ZEALANDERS IN SUVA. PURDY WINS CHAMPIONSHIP. SUVA, Aug. 6. Mr Samuel Purdy, of the Auckland Club, won the Pacific singles championship at the annual bowling tournament in Suva. Mr Samuel Purdy has been a member of the Edendale, Balmoral and Auckland Clubs.

HAMILTON TEAM PARTICIPATES (From a Correspondent.) - SUVA, July 31. The Suva Bowling Club’s annual tournament is always a popular evenl with New Zealand howlers, and several rinks were competing in' this year’s carnival. In the full rink play Raetihi (Webb Lynch, Scarl'e and Drury), Ellerslie (Mogridge, Purdy, Westbrooke and Taylor), Hamilton (Booth, Chegwidden, Davis and Evans), and Oamani (Robertson, Dunbar, Wright and Buist), lied with other teams for leadership in the various sections. Other New Zealand teams competing were Christchurch (Timbs, Steans llaigli and Horne) and Napier (Sweetapple, Murlcy, Holt and McLeay).
