MILITARY BALL
WAITOA FUNCTION. There was a large attendance at the annual military ball, organised by the Waitoa Territorials, and held in the Waitoa Hall on Wednesday evening. The hall was attractively decorated with red, white and blue streamers suspended from the ceiling and ferns, greenery and flags. Excellent music was provided by CressweU’s Orchestra and extras were played by Mrs E. Forster and Mr R. Baker. A Monte Carlo waltz was won by Mr and Mrs Scanlon. Crooning solos were given by Mr E. Tolley. *
The supper arangements were in the hands of a capable ladies’ committee comprising Mesdames F. Chefflngs, W. B. Perry, C. Wadham, S. Blgwood and Miss R. E. Chefllngs. Messrs. S. Blgwood and C. Wadham were M.’sC.
