FATE OF A WOMAN. INDICATIONS OF SUICIDE. TO END HER AGONY. United Press Assn. —Pec. Tel. Copyright. LONDON, June 10. A letter found in the nandbag of Airs Knight, the young Englishwoman who was found dead after losing her way in tlie southern Sahara, indicated, says the Algiers correspondent of the Times, that she committed suicide to end her agony. Gliauveur, one of the Frenchmen who had been in the parly with 'Mrs Knight and Peyton, and who was found delirious In a hole scooped out of the sand under their car, lias recovered sufficiently to disclose that lie only allowed Mrs Knight to accompany him on account of her anxiety to get to England from Agades, as his car was already overloaded. The party refilled a small goatskin with water at Inquezzam and shared the contents, totalling five quarts, with Peyton and Mrs Knight, when the latter left .to try to reach Tamanraset. A letter found in Mrs Knight’s handwriting contained a mysterious phrase, “ They are a lot of brutes." It began: “ My dear Jacques—l hope you have succeeded. For me, everything is finished. I shall never be yours. We have no more petrol or water. It is terrible to open one’s veins.”
