STOCK MARKET
VALUES AT FRANKTON
RULING BATES MAINTAINED
KEEN INQUIRY FOR BEEF. The vardings in all classes were on a par with those of last week at the weekly stock sale at Frank ton to-day. Cattle were penned in average numbers and sheep were in fair supply. Very few fat pigs were penned, the yarding being the smallest seen at the yard for some time. The medium yarding of ox beef comprised lighter sorts than* last week and consequently prices per head were not so high. There was little alteration, however, in the price per 100 lb. An animated demand existed for cow beef at ruling rates. Boner cow showed an improvement over last week. ’l’lte sheep market continued to be weak, although in some classes prices were a shade better.
