THE AUCKLAND MARKET.

VALUES SOMEWHAT EASIER. (By Telegraph.—Special to Times.) AUCKLAND, Tuesday. The Stock Exchange is quieter this week, and although values- generally have been maintained, there has been marked easing in some lines. South British Insurances, with a sale yesterday afternoon at 95s Gd, show a drop of 3s Gd in the month. At this morning’s call the shares were on offer at 90s, with no response from buyers. New Zealands also were easier, being quoted between GBs Gd and 69s Gd. Auckland Gas shares were on offer at 27s 3d, but there were no buyers. Farmers’ Trading shares were easier, a transaction being effected at 7s, a drop of sevenpence, after which the market stood between Gs lOd and 7s 3d. After telling down to 37s yesterday, Wailiis recovered with xjuotationa from 37s Gd to 38s 9d. Recorded Sales. The following sales were recorded: Gillespie’s Beach, is Gd. Farmers’ Trading, 7s. New Zealand Refrigerating (con-tx-ib.), 8s lOd. Renown Coal, 10s. Bank of New Zealand, 50s lOd. Bank of New South Wales, £3O 15a.
