During a practice for the Isle of Man Tourist Trophy race the Australian rider Hannaford, and tlie New Zealander, Bradley, crashed Avhen negotiating a bend near KirkmichaelBoth riders were taken lo hospital suffering from head injuries. Bradley received a depressed fracture of the skull.
