LYTTELTON BY-ELECTION.
WRIT TO BE ISSUED. POLL TO BE HELD SHORTLY. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Monday. It was staled by the chief electoral officer to-day that the roll to be used for the Lyttelton by-election rendered necessary by ihe death of Mrs E. R. McCombs, will be that used at the general election and the Lyttelton byelection of 1933, with the addition of any names received up to the time oi issue of the writ. The writ, it is understood, will be issued very shortly. The electoral officer also said the work of compiling the rolls for the general election was proceeding smoothly and it was expected that they would be complete by about the end of June, or the first week in July. The compilation of the supplementary rolls would commence immediately afterwards.
