Although 1,103,867 bales of wool were in store on January 31 the balance on May 31 had been reduced to 192,962 bales. in \quoting these figures the National Council of Wool Selling Brokers of Australia adds that (lie average price realised over all centres for greasy wool for May was 10.28 d per lb., compared with 11.56 d per lb. for May, 1934.
