WEDDINGS.

TINKLER—COCHRANE. The marriage was solemnised at the Tirau Presbyterian Church on Thursday between Kathleen Beryl, onlj daughter of Mr and Mrs T. Cochrane, of Okoroire, and Harold William, second son of Mr and Mrs Tinkler, of Piarere, Tirau. The ceremony was performed by Rev. J. Heard, and Miss Mactier, of Rotorua, presided at the organ. The church had been beautifully decorated by friends of the bride.

The bride, who entered the church with her father, wore a high-necked gown of ivory silk velvet fashioned on close-litting lines, the skirt falling to form a graceful train and the long sleeves finishing in points over the hands. She wore a beautiful veil of old ivory Iloniton lace held in place by a half circlet of orange blossom, and carried an arm-spray of single white camellias, daphne and asparagus. The bridesmaids were -Miss Phyllis Withers, of Tirau, and -Miss Rutli Tindall, of Pukeatua, who wore similar frocks of water-lily green angelsldn lace cut high at the back with draped front neckline, the skirts falling to form 'Short trains. The bodices were fashioned with wide sleeves. They wore halo hats of si'k tulle and green velvet flowers, and carried arm-sprays of crimson gerberas and chrysanthemums.

Mr Gordon Malcolm was best man and Mr Owen Tinkler groomsman. After the ceremony a reception was held at the Rialto, Malamata, where Mrs Cochrane received the guests wearing a frock of wine satin niarocain with swagger edit, and dark furs. Mrs Tinkler, mother of the bridegroom, wore a high-royal frock with lial to tone, and furs. Mr and Mrs Harold TinkleV left by car for the South, the bride travelling in a navy suit with hat and accessories to match, and a skunk stole.

DUFFELL—KING. The marriage was solemnised in the Springdale Anglican Church on Wednesday between Ivy Maud, third daughter of Mr and Mrs F. King, of Springdale, and Edwin Alfred, eldest son of Mr and Mrs B. Duffell, of Waitoa. Canon C. W. Turner, of Te Aroha, officiated, and the wedding music was played by Mrs B. E. Johansen. The church had been beautifully decorated by friends of the bride. 'l'iie bride, who entered the 'church with tier father, wore a gown of ivory windswept satin, with lace insets and cowl front caught with diamante. The sleeves were light-filling, and pointed at tlic wrists. She wore a veil of embroidered tulle arranged at the head with a coronet of orange blossom and falling to form a long train, and carried a bouquet, of paper whiles, daphne, white heather and maidenhair fern with ivory streamers. The Misses A. Cunningham and Myrtle Duffell (sister of the bridegroom) were the bridesmaids and wore similar frocks of green wind-

swept silk crepe, fashioned on slimfitting lines, with cowl front caught with diamante buckles. They wore large white felt hats trimmed with green ribbon, and carried bouquets of autumn marigolds, heather and maidenhair fern.

The flower-girls were Naida and Vida King (twin sisters of the bride), who wore ankle-length frocks of pink figured organdie with pink satin frills, and large picture hats trimmed with small rosebuds. They carried posies of pink roses.

Mr T. Bigwood was best man, aud Mr W. Duffell groomsman. After the ceremony a. reception was held at the Majestic Tea Rooms, Te Aroha, Mrs King receiving her guests wearing a smart frock of brown sand crepe with fawn trimmings, and fawn hat. She carried a posy of violets, slock and autumn-tinted flowers. Mrs Duffell, mother of the bridegroom, was wearing brown silk marocain with orange crepe, and carried a posy of autumn flowers.

When Mr and Mrs E. A. Duffell left for the honeymoon, the bride travelled in a grey swagger suit with hat to match.

They will make their home in Waharoa.
