SALE OF TIMBER.
REGULATIONS IN ENGLAND. MAY BENEFIT DOMINIONS. LONDON, June 6. An order under the Merchandise Marks Act, which will be operative on June 29, may have an important and perhaps beneficial effect on Dominion timber exporters. The order provides tiiat it 'shall be unlawful to import into Britain or offer for sale timbers unless marked giving an indication of their origin at intervals of not more than nine inches, including planed, tongued and grooved, or planed and otherwise manufactured hardwood flooring blocks, or strips of hardwood parquet flooring in sections or joined together. The sale of goods imported prior to June 29 will not he affected till January 1, 1936.
