BRITAIN’S WAR DEBTS.
NOTIFICATION FROM AMERICA. THE TIME NOT OPPORTUNE. (Received June 8, 2.30 p.m.) LONDON, June 7. A White Paper disclosed that Mr Cordell Hull, on June 1, in a note to the British Ambassador, indicated that the United States was prepared diplomatically to discuss any proposals for flic payment of Britain’s outstanding war debt instalments. The Ambassador replied that the essentials have not changed since the last note. Britain would bo prepared to resume discussions whenever the circumstances warranted a satisfactory result.
