In the House of Commons Mr Ramsay MacDonald said the Air Defence Committee was co-ordinating, supervising and speeding up the work of other sub-committees. After seeing one of the most responsible investigators he was authorised 'to say that, thanks to Investigations covering the whole field of air defence, an optimistic view could be taken regarding the outcome of research. It would not be in the national interest to say more.
