HOTEL LICENCES,
WAIKATO BENCH MEETS. RECOMMENDATION OF COMMITTEE (Special lo Times.) MORRINSVILLE, Friday. Mr S. L. Palerson, S.M., presided al llie annual meeting' 10-day of the Waikato Licensing Committee at Morriusvillc. Also present were Messrs C. M. Cummer. \Y. Morrice, C. 11. l’ricslley and M. Wells. An apology for absence was received from Mr A. 11. "Waring. A transfer of license was granted the Morrinsville Hotel from James Dickie Carson to William Fenton and the Masonic Hotel (Cambridge) from John Peach Jo Leo Cornaga. Publicans’ licenses were granted W. Fenton (Morrinsville Hotel) and Leo Cornaga (Masonic Hotel, Cambridge), while renewals of licenses were given Frederick Henry Durbridge (Taupiri Hotel), Victor Edward Kickit (National Hotel, Cambridge), James Fleming (Central Hotel, Cambridge), Norman Edward Smith (Waihou Hotel), and Reginald George Hodge (Nottingham Castle Hotel, Morrinsville). The police report showed that during the year convictions had been recorded against two hotels in -the district and the committee recommended that steps be taken to remove the license of the Morrinsville Hotel into the town, cither by extending the borough boundary or by special legislation.
