MOTOR-OYCLIBT KILLED.

COLLISION WITH CAR.

WELLINGTON, Monday

In a collision with a motor-car at the Hutt Bridge at 9.45 to-night a motor-cyclist,, Mr Keith Johnstone, of Wailui Avenue, Lower Hutt, received head injuries from which lie died almost immediately.

WHANGAREI, Monday

When working at a lime-crushing plant this afternoon at Taurikiu'a Mr Duncan Vinson, aged 36, a married man, received a fracture of both bones of tho left forearm and lacerations to his face. He was engaged in starting the engine, -the belt of which kept slipping. In endeavouring to replace it Mr Vinson became entangled in the belting and was whirled off bis feet. His condition is satisfactory.
