SIX MONTHS’ GAOL. MECHANIC SENTENCED. “A DANGEROUS CRIMINAL.” (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) u AUCKLAND, Tuesday. Donald John MacDonald, aged S 3, a mechanlo, who was arrested on Saturday when the Wanganella arrived from Sydney, was today sentenoed to six months’ Imprisonment for illegally Importing six tins of prepared opium. The Collector of Customs described him as a dangerous criminal. The Magistrate said arrangements might be made to deport him.
